Our school has an amazing pitcher who can throw just up to 80 mph. I'm guessing if you can aim good you can go lower than that.

JV baseball is just like any other level of baseball- control means more than speed. If you can consistently get the opposing batter, then you will be fine. Take a guy like Greg MAddux, for example. He has never had much of a fastball, yet he is considered one of the greatest pitches of our lifetime and has won over 300 games because he has great command of his pitches. If you have that, you should have no problem making it at the JV, and eventually versity, level.

How fast you throw doesn't matter all the time in High School baseball. It's emphasized more on the control. You've got to be able to hit spots on the plate in order to get strikes, and being able to throw fast won't do that for ya.

They always say accuracy before speed.

Throwing pitches with movement is huge. Just keep working at it.

It would seem to me good control would be more important than speed. But, to be sure, ask a coach or trainer.
