Basically, what it means is that person A and person B had met each other at the right place and at the right time. Both their vertexes got triggered when they met. They will cause some kind of change in each other and this change will be for the better (oppositions with vertexes cause the change for the worse). These two people met each other by fate. Note, the situations with vertexes very depend on current (!) location at where these people are currently at. If one of them, or both of them, move, the situation may change.
When the vertex of one person conjuncts the other person's Descendant, very often this means marriage. Sometimes it means a very significant relationship, but most often this relationship is marriage. Also those conjunctions mentioned by you mean that if there will be problems in a relationship, they will tend to work out on their own; both people won't have to do much to work on them. If both of them cultivate the properties of the person's A north node sign, they won't face problems at all.

"Frustrating and elusive," seems to sum it up for me. I can see how it works, what it means and what it will do.
"In synastry, it is often prominent in significant relationships: one person's personal planet or ASC conjuncts or opposes the other person's Vertex, generally conjuncts. I use a rather tight orb of 2 degrees. These interaspects are not present in all significant relationships, but when they are present in romantic connections, there is a rather common theme in place: the individuals meet and do not fall in love right away. In fact, there can be some feeling of reluctance, and, unlike South Node connections in synastry, they don't feel an instant sense of recognition. When they do fall in love, it is much like an "epiphany"(1)—sort of on the lines of "Wow, I really do like you—I didn't expect this!" The feelings come "out of the blue" and in a rush of feeling."
"It is important to note that when romantic partners have conjunctions between one person's Vertex and the other person's personal planets (and/or going both ways), it doesn't necessarily mean the relationship is a blissful, "happily ever after" one. That is hardly the case. However, it does suggest a powerful connection."-Cafeastrology.com
Person B's Vertex conjunct Person A's True Node to me would suggest that Person B will have a powerful afffect on the Person B's personality-helping them develop the qualities of their True Node's sign...or possibly bringing them out in the person in a powerful way.
Person A's Vertex conjunct Person B's descendant-to me would mean that Person B will be inexplicably drawn to this person, until such time that everything is played out in Person B's life-until Person A has learned the lesson's needed from that relationship-To me it seems that they are kind of stuck together, even if they wanted to leave-they may be unable to do so. It could turn out very very good, or they may be sorry later.

This is an interesting question. I have also done some research into the role of the vertex in synastry, since some astrologers absolutely swear by it, claiming that it is a "second descendant" and is a very powerful connection between two people's charts.
I personally don't use it anymore in synastry work, since there is so much to consider in synastry already!!
However, I would say the connections you mention seem very powerful and significant, especially since the descendant and North Node are so important in relationships. My guess is that they would increase the strength and durability of the bond between two people.
I know of some sites that might help you, which I will try to post shortly.
Best wishes :)

Vertex is very real. Anti-vertex(the opposite of your vertex) is also potent in synastry. I think vertex conj/opposite sun, moon, ascendant, or venus are the only aspects you should be looking at. Anything else is just a diluted form of astrology(grasping straws)....
The aspects you wrote out arent significant.
If you want a romantic reading between you two, email me, and I'll send you one for free. Good luck.

VERTEX IS NOTHING!
i researched a lot of famous couple's vertexes .. 7 out of 10 fail miserably!
check out Demi Moore and Bruce Willis's charts. My friend was swearing that I and my male friends will be together. Hisvertex conjuncted my sun and moon. My vertex was on top of his asce, ruler of 7th and north node. are we together? NOPE.
if you are that curious, analyze successful marriage charts like Michael Douglas and Cathrine Zeta-Jones, Kevin Bacon and his wife, i keep forgetting her name. Bill Clinton and Hilary, you get my drift.
Vertex is valid only in the natal chart. Vertex point is your soul's purpose.. there is a book that is written entirely about soul's purpose.. it is by LLillywleen or somehting like that publishing house.
Good luck
