I known it is not right to go around your parents or lie to them... but a couple of friends and I want to go to a gay club. I don't want to tell my parents where I am going and normally I am not out very late... What kind of excuse can I give to my parents?

Are you underage? Or still living at home under their roof?

If so, why not respect their wishes hmm? Is that so hard to do until you turn 18?

You shouldn't have to tell them a total lie, just say you are going out to a club with some friends, and don't say where. If they ask, then name a straight club. If they come looking for you, tell them that club was empty or they weren't play good music, so you hopped somewhere else after that. You don't need to tell a complete lie whereas you're more likely to trip over it later. If you said you actually went to a club, you'd be able to answer whatever question they ask without having to know something about something you didnt actually do that night. And by omitting the gay factor, you're not lying to them. It's a huge thing coming out to your parents, and the right time will present itself someday. It's not something you're expected to suddenly say when it doesn't need to be said yet.

Dude.. Most of these people are right... let me make it short n sweet... tell them ur going out to a club or to sleep over a friends house. The point is... tell them something that you know they won't disaprove of and lets them know that its ok to let u go out to that friends house or straight club..etc. Etc. Or that ur going to work late at ur job... that's what I did... I told them I was gonna come home late from work when really I got out early and went to a club it worked!.... that or u can tell ur folks ur going to sleep early becuz ur really tired and then sneak out threw ur window and leave ur window unlocked that's another way IF ur desperate haha...

If you are 18 and are still having to tell your parents where you are going, then maybe you shouldn't go....Or just don't tell them.... If you live under their roof, I would think that they have control over what time you get home, not where you go when you are not home....

Well, dang! What do you usually tell them when you go somewhere they won't like? Tell them that!

I don't get it why you are asking. Have you never fibbed to your parents before?

Where do you usually go nights when they aren't along? Tell them you are going there.

"Mom, dad, I'm going to Justin's house. I'll be back around 3, but if you need me, call my cell phone. Love ya, see ya later!"

My personal approach if I had the same goal and situation...

Good luck and have fun! And use a condom :P

omit the word "gay" and you're going to a club - if you're old enough to get in, sensible enough to know your limits, a gay club is no different to any other ... people are people!
