Are all racial & ethnic slurs equally offensive?

Why are the terms beaner & wetb@ck for Mexicans considerd horrible & offensive.The word slantys for Asians is also very bad.Yet people think it's ok to use terms like white-trash cracker pale-faced honkey & tight-@ss whitey?I'm just wondering why i

they're not at the same level of importance obviously.
because you could call someone a whitey or a crackerr or whatever and they don't get affended, but if you call a black person the "n-word" they'll get affended easily.

they don't have the same amount of power.
white people are proud to be white.

that's slightly offensive, yet i'm not actually indignant, so it would not worry me. additionally, like with all of those kinds of slurs, this is the sensation in the back of the word that concerns--that's why some human beings can get away with dropping the 'n' word whilst others can't. because of the fact you probably did not understand why that's offensive, they are actually not calling you a saltine, they're calling you a whipcracker, a slave motive force--they're lumping you in with the enormous white 'them' that has harm black human beings for over one hundred years.

No not at all...I think white racial slurs are not as offensive because whites typically were the richer of other races and ore powerful, so it didn't matter as much if people called them those names. Now that a lot of white people are poor too I think the words are offensive I mean I certainly wouldn't say them to someone but they still are less offensive. Also because those words were produced as comebacks for the derogatory terms used toward blacks and other minorities, that might have s/t to do with it.

All racial slurs are meant to be demeaning and disrespectful. Calling a Mexican a ******* is making fun of all the illegal immigrants that try to get to America for a better life. I don't think it's right to use offensive racial slurs. I don't even have those things in my vocabulary.

mexicans find ******* offensive a lot, one mexican was about to cry and fight when someone simply JOKED about it
asians...i don't know many, but i do know that indians are asians, and their eyes aren't slanty
i have heard white ppl call each other white-trash and cracker, and then the other white person get offended...

i think it depends on the race, its history, and the seriousness of the word.
ex. if you HAD to call a race a slur, would you rather call a white person white-trash or a black person a darkie?

Whites and males, and the combination have the advantage. Therefore must take the heat of the disadvantage.

I think every racial slur is equally as bad. N****r is as bad as C*****r and Wetb@ck and G**k...etc. No one deserves to be disrespected just because of their ethinicity.
