Have a '99 Explorer. Sensors went out before. Replaced them. Few months later they're bad again. Not going to replace them again till I fix what's making them bad.

Usually the sensors go bad from the heat and or your engine running too rich or too lean. There could be something else wrong that is not being picked up by your computer, that controls the air fuel mixture. Such as the mass air flow sensor.
You'll need a good mechanic to look into something like that since there may not be any diagnostic codes to guide them.
Could even be your catalytic converter is going bad.
