Why do you perfer one over the other?

mayonnaise.
because i grew up on the west coast.
i think the choice you make is determined where you grew up in the USA. If you grew up in central states I think the preference is Miracle Whip. West coast --mayo. East coast--i don't know.
anyway, that's my theory. and the thing is the preference is real intense one way or the other..no in-between.

I like Miracle Whip light because it has a little bite in it, not all sweet tasting. And regular mayo hasn't much flavor.

Home made is the way to go. But If/when I do buy I like mayonnaise.

I have both. Miracle whip on sandwiches but mayo for tuna salad or other things.

I only like mayonaise for artichokes and Miracle Whip for everything else.
