I'm 17 and when I was 13 I was in a pretty bad car crash and hurt my back. I was told I shouldn't be alive, let alone walking.

My physio said that I've also something wrong with my iliosacral joint (hip and tailbone). My doctor told me it could be to do with the increase in hormones because I'm a teenager.

I find it painful to walk, sit, lie down, well pretty much do anything.

Has anyone had this sort of problem before and what have you don't to help reduce pain and etc?

You seem to have a lot going on in your life, girl. I've read all your questions but could not give an answer to all.

After four years coming out of a car accident you are feeling pain. Well, not really. I wouldn't say it was the accident.

And increase hormones don't inflict such demonstrated pain, either.

You have other issues. You may have arthritis.

If you haven't heard of Arthritis before then Arthritis is a joint disorder featuring inflammation. A joint is an area of the body where two different bones meet. A joint functions to move the body parts connected by its bones. Arthritis literally means inflammation of one or more joints...

There are many forms of arthritis (over one hundred and growing). The forms range from those related to wear and tear of cartilage (such as osteoarthritis) to those associated with inflammation resulting from an over-active immune system (such as rheumatoid arthritis)

I hope you get better. I hate to feel you are uncomfortable. Bye for now.

I do have joint issues but not in that area that I know of yet (still trying to find this out myself because of some symptoms I've had in the past 6 months) but what I sometimes do for the pain there is to apply heat to the area.

You could ask about consulting a chiropractor if your parents are comfortable with that idea (and if insurance covers it) but I would also recommend a consultation with a rheumatologist (a dr that treats diseases and disorders of the boines and joints) to see if they can give some clues as to what is causing the pain.

Another option that the dr could suggest may be to try physical therapy as well if you haven't already because they may be able to suggest gentle stretches that could help some of this pain.
