I just google for what I want and then see what kinds of online shops come up. I don't buy from any website that has bad spelling, does not provide contact information and a physical address, or if they don't have SSL ordering.

I shop at www.amazon.com a lot for books and DVDs. You can get new and used books at very reasonable prices there, also if you don't get an item (rarely happens) or something is wrong, amazon will give you a refund!
We've also done site to store from Walmart, you don't have to pay for shipping, you just have to pick it up.
I also shop on ebay for anything from pez dispensers to baby items.

I bought one thing from Ebay...but I'd rather walk to a store and go in person.
