If the current rehashing of the '80s is any indication, in 10 or 15 years we'll be rehashing the '90s. Oh joy.

At the rate the quality of life and music has dropped, I would say we are headed for more rap and more heavy rock, which I loathe personally. What I hate in rap is the vulgar language, with heavy rock nothing to come home singing about. Fortunately, we still have some great young singers and there still is beautiful music written. We have bastardized the English language, lowered standards to a point where everything is sold with a sex angle and it is disgusting to me. I can appreciate good rock and groups like Pink Floyd, Sting, Earth, Wind and FIre, but when I watch Channel 6 in San Diego and see the songs they play and everyone at the station is gung ho over, I do not get it. The voices are terrible in most cases and the music certainly not the best. Anyway, I hope that the change will not be too great other than getting rid of the cussing in rap, and getting some melodious songs that we can remember the tune and sing to.

I hope music will be like it was in the '60s and '70s, some of the best music of all time came out then. Also some '80s influence wouldn't be bad either.

Hopefully soul comes more into play. Loud metal and rock music is a disgrace.

Seeing as though Yamaha queens like Rhianna are getting record deals left and right, I'd say that the future isn't to bright.

I hope it's better than what it is now. Today's music is pure crap! It's not considered MUSIC, in my opinion. You have to write your songs, play instruments, and actually SING in order for it to be music...remember?! I'm talking to you, "artists" of today!

I think it will be more rock based. You can hear it now on pop radio. Bands like Racantours and Panic are heavier and getting airplay on pop radio where 5 years ago they wouldn't have. Evenescence also.

If I were to guess, I'd say more club/dance music, and less rap. Although that's just a guess.
