Ya it's happening because you have too many unnecessary processes. First, try clearing up as much programs as you can from add/remove programs. Second, get some sort of a spyware scanner/remover such as spybot or adaware and scan your computer for spyware then clear it out. Third, google the processes from the task manager that you don't know and you should find out what they are and what they do. If you figure that they are unnecessary, then terminate them. If that doesn't help, you might be low on ram. Make sure you have at least 512MB. And if that doesn't help, it might be a serious problem, in that case i would reinstall my PC.

Go to start, run, msconfig and then a box will open up and click or put the dot right next to selective startup, and then underneath it it should have a check beside startup items, uncheck it click apply and then ok and then it will prompt you to restart it click ok and it should be fast after that let me know,
thanx, Ron

laptops are very convinience but when it comes down to reliable a home pc would rather be better. Best thing to do is delete unuse programs and files, to stop excessive start-ups causingloading to slow down. Alway keep the battery full during usage.
