Don't define yourself by saying you are just like all these other people that also conform to a set 'style'. Wear what you want, act how you want and listen to what you want. Just say you are Kayla instead of "I'm emo/prep/whatever".

If your friends don't like the real you then they aren't friends. sorry to break it to you. Find some people who actually like you. But isn't being happy as an emo kid an oxymoron?

just be yourself, theyre not really your friends if they dont want you to be happy, you should try to find new friends who'll accept you and when you do--drop those preppy assholes!
