Don`t get me wrong I LOVE hollister. I think some people wear it because everybody else wears it why does everyone wear this clothing. I love hollister because they are very casual and beachy. It fits me well but every one seems to love it and it`s wierd. Do you think some people wear it just to look cool?

i dont know why anyone would wear something just to be cool. and i dont know why you would even let it concern you.
it's way more important to have your own personal style, then to judge what other people are wearing and why.

Personally, i don't love any of those brands, though Hollister would be my favorite out of those 3. While I'm sure some people wear it to be cool, others just probably like the style and whatnot. I wear a little bit of it just because i think some of their clothes are really cute.

Yes i definately think a lot of people wear to fit in or look cool. But how can you feel cool when you blend in with everyone else? Some of the things these brands sell are not my style and cost more than what i would usually spend on clothes. i have a friend who used to be really cute and try all the new trends and be really girly (she would wear skirts and lots of jewelry and have really cute purses) and now that she is in highschool and has seen what all the other girls wear, she buys abercrombie and hollister and american eagle and just goes in one of their sweatshirts and pairs of jeans. i personally think the clothes they sell are great for summer if want to look beachy and sexy, and still be comfy. BUT most people are wearing them for the wrong reasons and making their parents spend way to much just for their need to fit in. Believe me, its much more interesting to wear what you REALLY like and be able to brag about how great of a buy it was, than to go unnoticed in your expensive threads BECAUSE you look like everyone else!

Deffinatly. I like stuff from Hollister, but on any given day, if you look around at school there are 3 girls wearing the same shirts from either hollister or AE or A&F, so what I do is like buy jeans and low key staple items at those stores and do the rest of my wardrobe shopping in NYC. Theres much more of a variety there, and I really hate it when girls that aren't really "popular" start wearing hollister labels drapeing from their body and act like complete ditzes just to get attention. sorry for writeing a mini novel here, i just had to get this out. oh and haha im not like an evil "popular mean girl" im just shareing my oppinion. i think people should be themselves, i didnt mean to sound snotty in any of this.

seriously, like everyone else has already said, it's simply a fashion trend. the fact that they're comfy helps too. but i mean, think about the type of clothes these brands specialize, and then look around at what people wear. this style is one of the more popular ones of this time. style changes all the time, look back to each era in the past 40 years, there's a pretty distinct style for each. doesnt mean everyone dressed that way, but the majority did. same as today.

Seriously if you had never heard of abercrombie, would you really go into a store where the lights are off and the music is so loud you get a headache walking by?

Pretty much everyone jusdt wears it to be cool and fit in prob like 75% of the kids at my highschool wear EA abercrombie and hollister and my school is 3000kids or more. I think it is just about the style like now.

I think that being "cool" is a big part of it. Like, wearing that lable boosts your status. But their stuff is also really cute and high quality.
I personally think that abercombie is wayy to much money for what you get. I absolutely LOVE American Eagle. Like, their stuff is soo nice, and sometimes you have to pay a little more, but it is totally worth it. Same with Hollister.
They are in style, high quality, and have a good label.

I really love Hollister cuz they got totally cute clothes and they fit me perfectly and they look good on me. But sometimes I always get the feeling that peole wear it to look "cool" I guess. Or maybe cuz they go there cuz everyone does which i still i gotta figure out why everyone does..

The reason i wear it is they have a ton to choose from lots of colors and variaties. Abercrombie is the most expencive.
Hollister and ae are cheaper and Hollister always has a lot of clothes on sale always.

I hate all those brands they suck... their for preppy little high school kids... All those "california" wannabe losers need to get their own sense of style. If you don't surf or actually live by the beach, stop being such a damn poser and dressing like you do. I've lived in Southern California right next to the damn beach my whole life doing surfing, boogey boarding and all that good junk and don't wear any of those crappy brands. Gap is about as main stream as I get. Seriously people need to get some identity of their own.
