mainstream rappers rap about those things, because those things sell to the kids and when it sells tot he kids that means more money, they in for the money.
either they make shitty raps bout hoes, gangs and money or they slingin crack on the corner.
same concept, they not doing anything productive and they makin stacks of cash with little effort.
too bad they dont concentrate on lyricisim and real talent anymore, that used to sell not only the kids because it was mainstream and "cool" back in the day, but to real hip hop fans bought it too. Thats why 90s rap could sell, they concentrated on talent not making quick bucks with little effort.

Your a 'tard. If that's the case then how many metal artists wouldn't be satanic? Plus you generalize when you say "rappers" instead of specifying. If a group like Zion I are selling their souls, then may God have mercy on us all. DMX is a crazy mu'fucka, that's why people (like me) love him, but in no way does he represent the entire scene.

i dont think they r selling their souls, persay. like some rapper rap about things that arent full of swears and women (Jesus walks, Black republican, One call away). But i think they are doing it to gain money. they may call a girl a b in a video, but at the end of the day, they really might have respect. Some are clearly idiotic and sing things they practice. It just depends who.

Rappers need lots of bling, which requires lots of cash. Selling their souls would be a reasonable option, I suppose.
