Give them another week or so. Baby oil or even Pam cooking spray will keep them from sticking to your car. They come out in spring and fall, and even though we hate them, it is a sure sign of a change in seasons. They lay their eggs in damp areas with rotting vegetation, which for some reason, exhaust fumes smell like rotting vegetation to them, and that's why they hover over the roads. Or so I've been told. They're harmless, just annoying as all h*ll.

Don't worry, another week or two tops is my guess (of course don't trust me any more than you do your local weather forecasters).

I was told, when I lived in Jacksonville, they come out twice a year, last for a couple weeks, and they come from swampy areas. Baby oil smeared on the front of the car (the grill) or on the vents of refrigerated trucks would help keep them out of there or make it easy to wash them off. It was said the best way to avoid them is to drive at twilight.

OMG! Right! Don't yawn, one will fly into your mouth. They are everywhere! Be careful, the dead ones that splat on your vehicle will eventually ruin your paint job, so be sure to routinely wash it.

I think they go away in July. But don't quote me on that. I've only been in FL for 2 1/2yrs. so I'm still getting used to this kind of weird stuff.

in about another week you'll see less of them
The University of Florida let some loose by accident.
To remove them pour hydrogen peroxide on a rag and wipe them off.
