Seeing that I have been in the situation of needing help more than once and people have helped, I feel I'm just repaying a debt, so I help as I can. Still I don't give money for booze or drugs but will take someone to eat or even buy ciggerettes. Always I know the places in town that feed, have help, or
the food banks and direct people there also.

I wonder if that shouldn't be reversed.
How often do you not offer assistance to those in need. I cannot fathom turning away from someone if I could help them.
excluding mooches of course.

I Try As Often as I Can, because I can feel their Pain and Feel so sorry for them. Many times, I Can Remember I Was In Their Shoes, But had no one to turn to then. (So, I speak from experience.) Hoping my answer will give them some hope.
