i was in Phil with my family back in 1992. I took entrance exams for many private schools and was accepted to all including one in Ayala Alabang and of course Ateneo. My parents found some of the school officials at Ateneo (particularly the anglo-headmaster at the time) to have some perverted tendencies. Needless to say we moved to Australia afterward. I will say however, that Ateneo has graduated many many philipino senators and high-ranking govt officials. I am American and am NOT of philipino background. I would send my kid to a Waldorf school if you have.

I would be biased in my answer since I am a La Sallian. DLSU of course. "I'd rather be green than blue. Animo La Salle." Well, safety wise, La Salle is not Ideal. There are a lot of carnaps around the area. Three of my classmates had their lost their cars through carnappers. Drugs and marijuana, I guess, every school has their own share of this problem. Dormitories and apartments are plentiful around the area. But I have no experience with dorms since we have a house in Manila. Better school, I really cannot say since I only went to La Salle from Grade 1 to college. Better reputation, I say, both have good reputation. Having gone to DLSU (or Ateneo) is an asset when applying for a job. I only know that a lot of my classmates now have top management jobs or landed with a good-paying job. But of course what kind of student one will be, it is up to oneself. It is not on the kind of school. I have a lot of classmates also who just wasted their time out of school playing billiards.

hey buttgirl, you should not generalize all lasallians coz you've met some superficial ones but that doesn't mean that all are superficial. For sure even in Ateneo or in any other schools, you'll meet those kind of people. As for me, it all depends on the course. If you're going to take Accounting and Engineering, Lasalle has high passing rates for those courses in the board exams but If you're planning to study Law, go to UP. Second is Ateneo. For science courses or premed courses, I think it's the same for all.

It will actually depends on which course you will be taking. I do believe that La salle is the best school when it comes to computer studies. Students in Lasalle don't have a good communication skills,Though they are good academically unlike student who came from Ateneo, I do agree that they have good communiaction skills which will then help them be able to find good jobs.

ADMU. I studied in Diliman and had my MD in Taft but back then if I had been rich enough on my own, I would have loved to pursue my MD in ADMU. DLSU by merit is a good school but I see more superficial people so I suggest you pursue your studies in ADMU.
