You have grasped the fallacy. THe mere fact that terrorists may be getting a foothold in other countries (e.g., Iraq), does not do anything about the fact that they have cells in America, or that they may not target America. Indeed, it would seem to some, that our actions actually help in the animosity against America, increasing the possibility of an attack.
Since terrorists take few people for an action, there is no logical connection to the fact that, by staying in Iraq, we decrease the possibility of a terrorist attack in America.
Perhaps (although I doubt it), if we found Osama, that would decrease the central "command", but it is my understanding that the terrorist cells are really quite loosely organized.
In other words, there is no reason to believe that there are not terrorists in america; and no reason to believe that by fighting in Iraq, we stop them from coming here.

They are here, now. Their mission is to destroy as many of us a possible when the time is right. They are called "sleeper units." Be patient, it will happen when it happens. It really hurts me that we are helpless to stop them. The best we can do is to be prepared where we are, and have an emergency survival plan for yourself and your family. This is not only true for terrorist attacks, but also for natural emergencies. Go to any government website and check out emergency preparedness plans for you family.

They are here but they are staying out of sight. Homeland security is watching them and will make the arrests as needed and when they can make the charges stick.
