You are warped! Gas prices are high because of instability in the middle east and refinery problems. The support for bring our troops home the the war funding bill was not there at veto proof strength so they made a deal to take out the withdraw timeliness in exchange for a raise in the minimum wage. If the war escalation progress report looks as grim as most experts think it will this September, there will be all the support that will be needed to start bring our troops home next year. and all the reckless spending of this wight house will require more spending. There is no way around that. I give the new Democrat hill a B+

They never promised to lower the gas prices.
They never promised to defund the war, they promised to end the war quicker.
They never promised no new taxes. That very idea is an idiot's one. Changes in taxes are always needed. Both up and down depending on what the economy is doing at the moment.
Stop posting delusional arguments.

I think they are doing the best they can considering they barely have a majority in the Senate. If you want a true Dem. term and want to really see what the Dems. can do, get a Dem. President or elect more Senators and Congressmen so we can have a real majority. You can only do so much with Bush's almighty veto and not a real majority.
