Where can you find them? Are they hard or easy to find? Where can you get the clues to find them! I have been to the main letterboxing website but is there any other website that is designed to give out clues? What do you need to do it?

You only need a rubber stamp and a notepad. http://www.letterboxing.org is the main site, but if you Google you will find others. It's a fun hobby. I do a different version called geocaching, which requires a small GPS receiver and we trade toys and stuff instead of just leaving our mark. I host & produce a podcast for geocachers in Maine.

My only quarrel with letterboxing is that they don't leave a note inside explaining what it is, for those who find it accidentally.

I don't think this is what you are referring to, but when a movie is adapted to be shown on a television screen, it can either be cropped on either side or it can be "letterboxed" (which means that the aspect ratio is maintained). Because a TV screen is narrower in respect to height than a movie screen, keeping the entire width of the movie results in no image being available for a strip above and below the movie image itself.

Because this doesn't seem to match what you are asking about, please add more detail as to what you want to know.

In Europe a letterbox is what we call a mailbox.they are usually on the back of your front door with a slot on the front of your door and the mail person drops the mail in.they also have big round ones painted green or red on most streets.

A Letterbox is like a mailbox. The postman puts your mail into this. You can usually buy them from Hardware stores eg. bunnings, mitre 10 etc.

I tried to get into letterboxing....it was recommended by a friend. I checked into geocaching and got hooked immediately! There are a lot more available.

Geocaching.com also has letterboxing available. Just grab a rubber stamp and go! You also need a GPS, nothing fancy an iFinder GO or GO2 work fine, or you could use a 60CSX. Have fun!
