I'd do this in a heartbeat. Johan Santana is a tier 1 pitcher and a 1st rounder. Fielder has been projected to be a breakout hitter this year based on past stats and trends (I forget what analysts call that) and he is fulfilling that.

Pujols had a very slow start but seems to be warming up.

However, the production and categories you get from both Santana AND the hottest hitting 1B at the moment outweighs to production Pujols will do down the line.

Trade Pujols. =)

No brainer. Even if Pujols goes crazy the 2nd half you get Santana who is far more dominant the 2nd half of the season than the 1st half and Fielder who is proving to be an elite 1st baseman himself. You wont lose much in the 1st base swap if anything at all plus you get hands down the best pitcher in the game. Get the deal done before the other guy comes to his senses!

Hard to say. Pujols if off to a slow start and he'll probably get hot soon. Fielder is off to a good start and he'll probably start to cool off. So you won't be gaining or losing much at 1st. However if you need a SP take the trade before the other guy decides he doesn't want to do it anymore.

Yes, I would do it. Pujols is not going to do that good this year. Below are projected stats by ESPN.

Pujols
AVG-295
HR-28
RBI-85
R-88

Fielder
AVG-288
HR-51
RBI- 125
R-105

Fielder is clearly going to be better this year and Pujols is not all the way healthy.

Santana
WandL-17-14
SO-270
ERA-3.05
WHIP-1.09

Santana is not gonna have that great of a year either. You might as well go ahead and accept and maybe trade him for another pitcher. To get projected stats, go to espn.com. Top right is a search under the password, type the player in and search. The next screen comes and you click player card. The projected stats are below all the current and carrer stats. Good Luck

Hard to say. Fielder's production will probably drop off second half while Pujols' will probably increase, but then Santana's in there. If you could use an SP boost, I don't think you'd be wrong to take it.

at present this is about 50/50. he's 5-3 and has been giving up fairly some hits in video games presently. to boot to that the Mets are suffering going a million-7 of their very last 8 video games, and Willie Randolph is contained in the dogs abode with fairly some Mets followers. The rigidity pot is progression and if the Mets do not commence prevailing and Santana has a nasty day on the mound issues might want to "BLOW UP". in case you could bear in mind Santana did not take to correctly to Mets followers booing him the most suitable time and he lashed out about it. If the Mets fan finally end up having to enable him have it again it will be a lot worse than before. At that element he might want to okay remorseful about ever coming to manhattan.
