New laptops with the santa rosa processor have a CPU FSB 800MHz. But they usually come with either 1gb or 2gb of ram at 667MHz.

If i wanted to add a 2gb 800MHz ram stick into the laptop. Would it do anything, mixing the 667 and 800MHz.

If you mix 667Mhz and 800Mhz together, they will all run at the slowest speed which is 667. There will be a slight performance gain if you completely replace the 667 with 800, but nothing major.
