it might be solenoid switch or a relay kicking in when the key is turned on,if it has air on it,and its on when you turn the key on you,ll also hear the compressor kick on,and there are several relays also that work, and it could be any one of those, try seeing if anything is on that doesn't need to be,it will probably turn out to be something simple ,good luck with it.

Your car has fuel injection and when you turn the key on the Fuel pump will run for a few seconds giving the injectors fuel making the car easier and quicker to start.
That is my guess your question is a little vague so hopefully this answer is good for you.
On some cars you can hear the fuel pump more then others.

from what you've stated i do no longer recognize the reason yet i'm able to likely help because i dont recognize in case you knew yet maximum fuses that would want to do with elements less than the hood have the fuses less than the hood also and the elements that are contained in the passenger compartment have the fuse field contained in the passenger compartment. so in case you assert the click stopped once you lifted the fuse field cover examine the electric powered elements less than the hood....i recognize which will be alot yet it truly is what i recognize

What might be happening is probably caused by a loose battery connection, Grab each cable at the battery and try real hard to twist it back and forth,If you can move it. the cable is too loose and the noise is the solinoid clicking because its not getting enough amps to turn the motor over.
