It doesn't matter. The next president will be a democrat.

Last time I checked, we were at war with the Taliban. Why should we let one of their cousins run our country?
This happened 150 years ago but I think its still relevant because as recently as 1960 Mitt Romneys church pardoned this terrorist mass murderer of Americans.
It was September 11, 1857. A wagon train of 160 settlers on their way to California was massacred by a bunch of Mormons dressed in Indian clothes. 17 children under the age of 8 were spared and lived to tell their story.
1st. They dressed as Indians but after five days they changed tactics.
2nd. Then they went a bit away ,dressed back into normal clothes and acted like the Rescue Party who had negotiated a deal with the"Indians".
3rd, Then confiscated all the guns as part of the deal for "saving" the travellers and Mormon dissidents( who were the reason for the attack in the first place).
4th. Took everybody off a mile or so and shot them all. 2 men got away but were eventually tracked down and killed a day or so later.
5th. Took the 17 children they had not killed back with them to Salt Lake City.
6th. Got away with it. After a publicized trial, with the childrens own testimony admitted into the court, only 1 man was convicted and shot, John D. Lee. ( pardoned by Church 1960)
It ended up being called the Mountain Meadows Massacre. The first time in U.S. history that U.S. citizens were massacred on U.S. soil by religious wackos. This event is even more significant because the total U.S. population at the time was much smaller.(I dont know the exact numbers, maybe only 30 million or so) In todays numbers it would be around 1400 dead.

Anyone who believes the John Smith story has got a screw lose .
If you can not examine religion and the bible and find it so flawed that you outright reject all religious teaching and seek a God of your own understanding who is absent from the world accepting that natural forces driven by a universe that was created by a supreme being around 15 billion years ago something is wrong with you . IS there a heaven or hell ? Life after death ? More then likely not but this does not mean we can not have reasonable laws to protect us all and still allow people the freedom of choice .
We are only an inch away from killing others all the time .
I know that dozens of times I would of killed someone with my bare hands if it where not for having to go to prison for the rest of my life .
SO we need some rules to follow .
But to allow religion and silly rituals and rules to determine our entire life and not teach any kind of reality and responsibility is insane .

He must be doing pretty well. He is getting predictably scewered by the "tolerant" elites among us. Most people are born into their religion and don't have a say in it. He said that Mormons mainly supports the "family" and that is the correct attitude to have about the Mormon church. I much prefer Rudy but it has nothing to do with the religion he was born into. What a bunch of bigots liberals can be.

I can give you a ton of reasons not to vote for romney none of which have anything to do with his faith (which by the way, along with gender/color/orientation, is about the stupidest factor to consider when judging a person). For example, his consistent tendendency to flip positions with the wind. He has a history of flip-flopping that would make John Kerry look stoic. Just check his political history on issues such as abortion, gun control, etc.
Add to that his blatant disrespect for american ideology (c.f. his call for state sponsored discrimination and the creation of a second class citizenry) and what more reason does one need to toss him to the side?
But seriously as to your question, who cares what god he believes in or which church he attends. Especially since (and I realize it hasn't been this way for the past 6 yrs or so) we are supposed to be a secular nation with a clear distinction and separation between church and state. In fact if he can't get past his religious beliefs in his political career, that would be a better reason not to vote for him than what those beliefs are.

Most christians consider mormonism a cult..he might as well be a satanist.
I seriously doubt he'd get the backing of the religious right.
Dont think he has a chance
Do I think its fair? Not really. But since when has life been fair?

in this present day as quickly as we have fun civil rights i contemplate whether you remember the words of Martin Luther King who stated: "I certainly have a dream that my 4 little young little ones will sometime stay in a rustic the place they won't be judged by the colour of their skin yet by the content fabric of their character." i might prefer to alter the words slightly so as that they extra healthful your question and the region that Mitt faces throughout this usa as we talk: "I certainly have a dream that my 4 little young little ones will sometime stay in a rustic the place they won't be judged by their faith yet by the content fabric of their character." Mormon's now not prepare polygamy. The underclothes we placed on might desire to be of no difficulty to anyone. that's in basic terms a logo of our dedication to maintain the commandments of God and to remember the ensures we've made to him and he to us so why might desire to or not this is an argument in climate Mitt Romney may be a solid president or not. Mitt is a robust guy with ethical character. maximum of you have been around as quickly as we hosted the optimal wintry climate Olympics ever to be hosted in 2002? It grow to be Mitt Romney that grow to be in charge for the fulfillment of those video games. have you ever heard Mitt say something that could desire to make you question his character? No! So, what do you have against him? faith? Is that not an extremely prejudiced and biased opinion? in this present day as quickly as we remember the importance of Civil Rights for all I ask you to opt for to not be prejudiced against Mitt Romney because of the fact he's a Mormon. Prejudice is often based in a loss of actual wisdom and worry. we live in a extra helpful usa now that the blacks are actually not persecuted as they as quickly as have been and held down by using colour of their skin. do we now triumph over our prejudice over faith and notice the guy for who he's?

Mormon or not (ooh, how risque--a different kind of Christian!) he's a tool and doesn't interest me. Ron Paul is the only one who has something to say. That's why he's at the top of the polls after each debate. And is why the media ignores him. I actually got suspended by Y/A for asking two valid and appropriate questions on Ron Paul when I've never has problems with Y/A before.

I don't see how the article relates to Romney at all. For the record, there is little reason to be concerned with a candidate's religion.

LYKEEE OMGGGG HESS A MORMON!!!!! WE CANT HAVE THAT! DEMOLISHMENT OF OUR COUNTRY!!!!
I like Mitt Romney. Usually I don't agree with the conservative and republicans, but he seems like he would make a good president. He was governor here... he's quick to respond to problems and he's an honest guy.
I'm still for Obama though.
