When talking about a person, I would say sexy. About a thing, I would use another word. Hot just sounds so Paris.

Normally I say hot when I'm being generic... like "that guy is soooooo hot!" but I think that sexy is more personal.. Like.. "Wow, he's so sexy.." Sexy has more feelings and it personal and there's just so much more behind the word sexy.

Doesn't always mean the same thing. all beautiful women aren't sexy or sensuous, but can still be called hot. A woman can be sensuious and not sexy and still be called hot. I don't use hot because it's not clear.

I describe hot, as a younger cute teenage person, like when I'm talking to my son about his girlfriend. I describe sexy as a older person, such as a mature man or woman between the ages of 28 to on up.
