You may have to remove a cover plate to locate the fill hole. It could be a screw, pipe plug, or just a rubber plug. Remove the plug, and with the jack all the way down fill it full with hydraulic jack oil. If the jack is raised just a little, the next time you use it, it will not go all the way down, and in the case of the rubber plug, it will blow the plug out.

With the jack positioned in the full down position, remove the oil plug. Add Hyd. jack oil (available at most auto parts stores) until it seeps out the hole. Replace plug and pump up all the way. Lower fully and remove the plug and recheck the level. Top off as needed. Sometimes air will get in and it takes once or twice to get it full.
