i see millions and billions of tiny dots, if joined together might form into a huge gigantic squid, which will with help of its tenticals will devour all the galaxies and will create a universe based on unified galaxy which will have only one star liek that of our planet earth, which will have life forms just liek us, and they will start living in caves and the squid would teach them how to build giant multipul chains of fast food restaurants so the owner would become rich and invent technology beyond anyones imagination. The they will give those cavemen some computers and one of them will create yahoo and other such portals and eventually the squid will die cuz the bloke will get old and the squid's ghost will get a free account on answers.yahoo.com and will one day ask a question that started it all which would be "what do u guys see when you look at the stars?" and when someone answers the question which would be exactly as mine then the whole chain of incidents will happen again....mmm

Questions. Are all of the stars that seem to be alike in their brightness the same distance from us, or are they different sizes at different distances? When I see a picture of a galaxy, I'm totally in awe to realize that the sky from any planet there would be unrecognizable to anybody here, and I think, how can there be nobody there, in those billions of planets in billions of galaxies?
Out in the country, away from the cities, and from what I understand at sea, too, the sky shimmers with millions or billions of stars (seriously) that you can't see if you live in a city. It's amazing.

when i look at the stars i feel a sense of metaphysical vertigo. I get a bit dizzy and freaked out because i realize just how tiny and insignificant i am in the scheme of the universe. Even the earth is a tiny speck, an infant, a moment. I wonder how it all came to be, or if it really is.

I then realize how large i am - i am a giant compared to so many other beings.
sometimes it makes me feel like i'm going to pass out!

Pin pricks of light in a black sheet. Diamonds littered across black satin. Hope. Beauty. Magic. Wishes. Serenity. I see that the stars are so small but that really we are small & our little planet quite tiny within the scope of the universe. This makes me feel calm. It's comforting to be reminded how small we are. That means that our problems are small too.

A dying planet giving off its last brilliance in a spectacle that will outlast us as a generation...... Lasting yet, forever, but at a distance by which the eye can only ascertain is a minute thing where we stand......

constellations. i see tons of them. Right now i can see scorpius, crux, centaurus and corvus. they are mystery, how did the past dictate such constellations.

when i see the stars, i felt how tiny i am, how far ahead/behind are we from these stars. when i take my telescope out and look at the moon, i felt an overwhelming rush, its so clear.. so near..

the universe is vast... infinity..

yet it just make me felt so tiny.

I see the unknown. I see what I believe will be my future and the stars help me create my fantasies and my dreams. they help me think and organize. Hope we don't lose them.
