I also got taken to the front page of the site. However, in my 29 years and apporoximate 51 weeks (I celebrate my 30th birthday on June 4) I've yet to spend any more than $20, before tax, on an article of clothing. Actually, it's been a few years since I've spend more than $5. Anything more than $20, I think, is just too much. I've acheived this by buying from sale/clearance racks (when I shop first-run retail, it's got to be at lest 50% off), thrift stores, rummage sales, and other second hand venues. Even at the Goodwills at which I used to shop in Columbus, OH, I would shop the colored tags that were 50 and 75 per cent off, mostly the 75% off. I just don't see paying any more than necessary for clothing, then I try and keep it for as long as possible.
However, this is just me. When considering a clothing purchase, you should ask yourself how often you're going to wear it and for how long. I've articles of clothing that I've had for years and still wear. My favorite dress, a long black tube type dress I rescued from a Dumpster and still wear and get compliments on it. Again, this is just me.
