that when you drop a peice of paper on the blade that the paper will cut all the way through???

Is the knife blade stationary? If it is, then it wouldn't be possible. The paper doesn't weigh enough to gain the velocity that is required to pull the blade through it. If the blade is moving in the opposite direction from the paper, it is possible. There just needs to be enough speed to defeat the resistance of the paper fibers.

Yes... I just put my Xacto knife with a #11 blade in my vise and dropped a piece of typing paper on it... the blade tip pierced the paper.

Not exactly a normal situation, but it worked.

Just be careful with ALL knifes and tools !!
