Honestly, it wasn't stupidity that had people voting for Bush in the last two elections; it was manipulation.
People voted for him in 2000, because Al Gore was for banning private gun ownership. Bush wasn't. And let's face it; the American people love their guns. So they voted for the person who'd let them keep them, without restrictions.
People voted for him again in 2004 because of the gay marriage issue that was around at the time. John Kerry was for gay marriage to be legal in America, and Bush wasn't. There are some people in America that didn't want gays to marry. So they voted for the person who'd outlaw gay marriage.
It's because of these two issues that we're in the mess we're in. The American people were so closed minded, and didn't see everything for what it really is. American finally woke up in 2005 when they realized, "Um... why are we in Iraq?".
Bush, I will admit, has morals. Something that some politicians today don't have a lot of. But his morals are stepping in the way of what America wants and what America needs to grow. He's wanting to run the country like it's 1969 still, even though it's 2007.
America in 2008 needs to vote wisely and not let issues like gun control and gay rights step in the way. Though I am for both, they're two subjects that won't be as big of an issue for the next President to face, or at first, at least.

1. They where scared by fear tactics (like when Chaney said "if we are not re-elected you will be hit by nuclear bombs" when he visited Hawaii)
2. Bush was able to convince the conservative Christens that he hated gays and would move toward changing the laws on abortion.
3. Karry ran a flawed campaign. He decided to play it safe and just let Bush's stupidity beat himself. It almost worked it it was not close enough.
4. It is hard to not be reelected in the middle of a war.
5. He has that good old boy red neck appeal that people in the south love.

dont know if i can give 5 reasons but one thing about bush is that he doesnt waver on his decision. politicians have a tendency to waffle around things and give different answers at different times. bush isnt like that. the iraq war...he still feels it was the correct decision. maybe he's just saying that b/c he cant admit he was wrong but he made a decision and he stuck by it.
all i know is that whoever takes office after bush...i dont envy the mess they have to clean up in iraq.

Ignorance, brainwashing via the media, they can relate to his idiocy (not his tremendous wealth, privilege, dynasty, and fake Texas accent), they are demented and agree with ruining America for everyone else but Bush cronies, or they voted and the computerized voting machine "malfunctioned" and changed a Kerry vote to Bush.

Honesty, commitment... wow are they talking about Bush or what? Which news they are reading??
Bush is a conservative, and only religious zealots of his bunch have vote for him!
I do have many friends accross the US, and everybody wonder who vote for him, as they don't know anybody close to theirs that have vote for him... And it happened that my friends lives in the largest cities... So I guess small cities, villages and countryside, as well as some wallstreet individual seeking to increase their wallets have vote for this cowboy...
So the five reasons should be:
I lived far from big cities
I live very far from big cities
I live so far from big cities that I need to park my horse to do shopping.
I live very close to a church...
I live so close to a church that I don't need to buy bread!
