i sent for it from california,they sent me a paper to get notarized cause it has to be a certified copy, i cant get it notarized cause i dont have id, i lost all my id, thats why i need a birth certificate, so i sent for one from los angeles county, where i was born and they dont have one on record, maybe cause in 1958 im not sure why they dont have it anyways i need to get my id soon as iam going to be starting a job soon and waiting another 4 weeks agin to see if i can have a relative get one sent from sacramento is just to long, i live in arizona now so im not even in ca. but i need my id now.

call the county of your birth or the hospital of your birth...you will need some sort of ID for them to give you the info.

Consider asking your parents. They were given one when you were born and you know, silly parents, they may still have it.

Consider asking the DMV for a duplicate drivers license. If you have that, you got a photo ID and not have to worry about the birth certificate.

Of course if you serve in the military, you would have a military ID. Or in the Reserves or Guard, same thing.

Or if you retired, you got a military retiree card and probably a VA ID card. But then again, that requires service to country.

Or you could have gotten a concealed weapons permit. Much harder to get than a drivers license, what with the criminal back ground check and fingerprints....

Personally, I think any one who loses ALL of their ID is a bit stupid. Next time, consider having something at home so you do not end up in this mess again...

Wait a couple of weeks and you can get a "Z" immigration card from the government without documentation.

go to the court house in the county where you were born
