If that's all you have to worry about, then you're in pretty good shape.

Far more important than your attire is your demeanor. You probably know this already, but you need to keep in mind that the judge will not have much time and will have very limited information about your situation. Be respectful of everybody -- the judge, your (soon to be ex) wife, her lawyer, etc. Don't interrupt. Don't get angry. Don't yell. The most important thing is to appear rational, sane, and reasonable.

That said, you should probably dress in at least clean business casual (no jeans, no t-shirts or tank tops, no shorts, etc.).

Wear a Tux and formal attire. Afterwards have a Divorce Party!

Clean and neat. Not formal or too informal. No coat and tie required. A cowboy should not wear a business suit. You should first be comfortable in your attire. The clothes should not wear you. If you wear a coat and tie everyday, then wear a coat and tie.

If you have a suit, wear it. With a tie and a buttoned shirt.

If you don't have a suit, a clean and neat dress shirt and tie are appropriate. At the VERY minimum, a neat and tucked in polo-style shirt and khakis.

Address the judge as sir, ma'am, or 'your honor'. Refer to the children as 'my children, my son, my daughter', not 'the kids'.

Show respect to the clerk and your ex, even if you think she's a psycho -- getting upset or angry in the courtroom only hurts YOUR chances of being heard.

If the judge is female and most women think that you are good looking, I would go with assless chaps. Otherwise, dress as if you were going to a funeral because the Bit** is probably gonna bury you.

What's the question? You know everybody now goes in blue jeans, t-shirts and dirty sneaker. And unshaved and the hair uncombed.
