Ok, I am currently in eighth grade, and in 13 days, the school year will be over and I will move on to high school. At my school, the students are split into two groups to go to two different high schools. I have made SO many great and reliable friends througout middle school that aren't attending my high school. The problem is, my friendships with some of my friends are just now growing strong. During the weekend, I yearn to be at school with my friends because I feel lonely without them. I really don't want to leave them because I know in 13 days I will NEVER see them again. See, their high school is far away from mine, and the chances of us ever seeing eachother again is VERY slim. I will be vacationing ALL summer, so I won't be able to get together with them over the break. I am also going to leave this guy I have had a MAJOR crush on for all 3 years of middle school, and I AM NOT ready to get over him. Can anybody PLZ HELP!!! Plz don't tell me to grow up or get over it!

Spend as much time with your friends over the weekends and after class as possible. Next year, try joining an out-of-school activity, such as yoga or kickboxing, and ask your friends from the other high school to join. Make sure to keep in contact with your friends, in order to see how they're doing and what they're up to. As for your crush, tell him how you feel. If he feels the same way, he may ask you out, and you'll see much more of him that way! During your vacation, keep contacting your friends and crush. If he only likes you as a friend, just maintain your friendship, and maybe he knows of a guy attending your high school that would be great for you! Above all, enjoy your summer, continue spending time with friends who will attend your high school, and realize you will make many new, wonderful friends over the next 4 years!

It's just like moving, no one really wants to do it.
I've moved quite a few times in my life, and I've managed to keep in touch with MANY good friends. You come to realize that your true and really really good friends are the ones that you can still IM and talk to on the phone without the conversation dying or something.
As for this guy, you might want to try getting to know him a bit. If you two become friends, then you two can also expect to keep in touch. Then you'll see where it goes from there...
Honestly, keeping in touch is the best way to go. And i'm sorry you're in such a tough sitch but i promise you'll make new friends. =) We all worry about the same things when having to leave what we've come to be so familiar with, but I moved about a year and a half ago, and I've made some really really amazing friends. Good luck!

You have to just trust that it will all be okay, I mean, you will make new friends, just stay being yourself. Don't be scared about high school eathier, it will only eat you alive if you let it. And the boy will eventually get it that you like him. But if he doesn't like you, try to move on and get a new crush in high school. It's possible to keep in touch with true friends, I have a best friend who moved to north carolina, which is on the other side of the country and we still call and talk all the time. Good luck.

Ok so summer is here. Real friends will always find a way to keep in touch. But you are young and I'm sure you will get over it as they will get over it too. Life does go on and things will pick up when you go back to school. You will make new and more friends. Try to enjoy your summer and if you miss your friends call them from time to time and try to get together. You can't be that far from each other. Good luck.

I onderstand and will not tell u to grow up or getover it. That is awful advice to tell someone to get over it because ut's impossible. So I hope this helps:
1.) R these people UR true ffiends?
2.)If they are, then find out phone #'s, E-mails, and adresses.
3.)Sometimes, people say they are going to a different school and really aren't
4.)About your crush. This happened to me too except he was leaving me and the night he left he kissed me in the elevator! I felt like Cinderella! Sry but NEway, does he like you? If you think so ask your friends I mean TRUE TRUE frends. Aloso ask 1 of his friends if he likes you. So I hope that helps.
P.S. You might feel like Cinderella too!!!
P.S.S. i didn't think Tyliked me either but then...Ta-dah we kissed passionately in an elevator only to busted by his Best friend and won prom!!
Good Luck,
~Tara~

Just because you're parting schools doesn't mean you're parting friendships. Get ththeir numbers and addresses and chill with them over weekends.

why does your school HAVE TO go to the high school that they are giving. can't you ask the principle to move you to a different high school, or tell your parents that you want to move to that high school. WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO GO TO THE SCHOOL WE WANT TO GO TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you ask your parents or the principle, they should understand.
