Assuming this is not a facetious question. You are either very young and have not lived under other US Presidents or perhaps
just fell asleep in history class. The words "great" and "Bush"
(either Bush) don't seem to go together well in the same sentence.

Great President. I voted for the man both times. I am pleased that we have finally got a President (since Regan) who possesses the testicular fortitude to do what everyone knows in their hearts is the right thing to do, but are too scared to admit it. Especially for the times and trials our country has faced in the last 7 years, I don't think that anyone else could have done a better job.
HOWEVER. I am very displeased at his standing on a few subjects to include immigration, social security, and fossil fuels. Way to weak on immigration. Should have had cattle trucks and troops waiting at the riots to take them home and in his eight years he could have found a method of locking the system down so tight that illegal could not function in our society. You can pretty much guess the rest.
Actually, now that I'm thinking of it. I can see myself constructing a George W. Bush shrine in my house after the next election.

Had many opportunities to make his time in office great, but didn't have a full plan, didn't take advantage of the situation and had some bad advise passed his way. Of course, the Iraq thing was a faux paux of everyone from Bush to the Congress who, after seeing all the evidence Bush had presented to him, voted to go to war, then tried to turn around.
I would put him in the top 10 Presidents, but not way up on the list. Bill is still below him, and so is Carter and Ford, and LBJ.
