Basically, that's the whole idea around investing in stocks. You buy low, and sell high -- that's how the money is made. The hard part is knowing exactly which stocks to pick to do that.

I use this website http://www.sharebuilder.com. I set up a direct deposit at my job and have a certain amount put in this account. I purchase the same amount of money on each stock, so I can build this up a share at a time. When I have extra money, I put it into the account and purchase multiple shares. For example, I just bought 100 shares of a stock at $30 a share. I put a stop loss so if the shares fall below $28, I sell. If the stocks go up, I increase my stop loss-I have to monitor my stocks each day since sharebuilder doesn't have a stop loss option. This site does offer advice whether to buy, hold or sell certain stocks. The ones that are working well for me are Ebay, Wal Mart and Home Depot also Nasdaq 100 is a good option.

The answer is yes, but knowing which ones they are is a challenge. If you are like most when they start in the market, you are probably looking for a way to find stocks. Here are some tips.

1. Don't ask for stock tips on Yahoo! answers ;)
Its best to find stocks on your own, instead of following the crowd.

2. Find strong companies to buy using a stock screener like

3. Learn when to buy a stock buy learning Technical indicators and Candlestick signals. This takes some time, but will pay off if you learn it.

4. Learn about risk management, trailing profit stops and stop losses and ALWAYS use them.
If you win, you want to win big, if you lose you want to lose small.

Oh, and learn about RESISTANCE and SUPPORT. These are key terms to determining where to buy a stock.
