If you're using Firefox, download the VideoDownloader plugin. This'll allow you to download videos as a flash file.
Then you need a video converter. I suggest you use a program called Any Video Converter. Use it to convert the flash file to any type of video file that is playable on your iPod.

You can not download videos from Youtube to an iPod. There is no way to do it.

if you goto youtube and look very careful you will see download video, so you click on download video, to your computer, then transfer the file to your ipod

1) It's illegal to put shows and copyright material on youtube.
2) There's no way you can get anything on your iPod for free other than the free songs of the week on iTunes legally.

Save the youtube file to your desktop
Open up your iTunes library
Go back to your desktop, select the file with your mouse, and drag it into your library.
