What is the penalty when a MLB Manager gets ejected?

We all know Major League Manager's get ejected quite regularly, as do players, but if an NBA player get's ejected there's a lot of talk about his suspension and whether or not it was warrented, but what is the penalty for being ejected as a manger from a Major League Baseball game? Is there a standard penaty or is determined on a case to case basis? Is there even a penalty?

Each case on its own merits, but there is seldom a penalty. Usually, the penalty is a fine.
If there is physical contact, then, there probably would be a fine.
You see, questioning balls and strikes is an automatic ejection, as is questioning out or safe. So, if an unpire calls a strike and the manager says "that was a ball" he's thrown out.

Ejections are detailed in MLB Rule 4.07:
When a manager, player, coach or trainer is ejected from a game, he shall leave the field immediately and take no further part in that game. He shall remain in the club house or change to street clothes and either leave the park or take a seat in the grandstand well removed from the vicinity of his team’s bench or bullpen.
Rule 4.07 Comment: If a manager, coach or player is under suspension he may not be in the dugout or press box during the course of a game.

Beyond getting tossed, the commissioner's office (there aren't separate league administrations any longer) may impose a fine or, in rare cases, a suspension. It depends upon the ejection offense. Suspensions are most common when a game becomes a beanball war (Boston and Tampa Bay in recent years, for some reason), and for the manager is typically one to three games. The longest game-ejection suspension I know of is when Pete Rose was levied 30 days for shoving umpire Dave Pallone.

The ejection from the game itself is already a penalty. Additional fines/suspension could be handed out if the umpiring crew submits an official report to the league office and the case is reviewed. Physical contact with an umpire, and instigating an unwarranted delay (initiating a brawl or throwing items on to the field) can lead to further disciplinary actions.

Penalties are handed out depending on the severity for the reason of ejection. Usually a manager will just get fined, rarely suspended as the penalty. Otherwise no penalty is included with the ejection.
