I don't think you'll find anything for that price-so look for roomates. Try a bit North-like Encinitas etc. You don't want too far south as it gets really smoggy and is next to the border (more crime). Main San Diego could have some studio apts maybe-do a web search.

I live on the Hurricane Katrina ravaged gulf coast of Mississippi, Hell yeah I'd like to live in San Diego. Lived in Anaheim for a while. Hottest woman I've ever been with was from San Diego, was it you? Still like the N.O. Saints and we got Drew Brees.

It is a delightful place, and the climate is wonderful if you are near the coast. But the cost of living is very high. I have a wonderful house with a good climate, so I'm staying put.

you must have a college education a good paying job. in order to live in SD you need to be able to make good money. most people are selling their homes and moving out of SD because they can't afford to live here.

no. cause then i would miss my friends and family. plus, I don't think i could live somewhere where it is warm ALL THE TIME. i think i would get sick of it after a while. i like it right here in Indiana.
