Start by welcoming them to the company, make them feel at ease because they are more nervous than you are. Then inform them about your company, the benefits, what is expected, the safety programs, quality programs or anything else that is specific to your company. Educate them on the rules and what is expected. Next give them a tour of not only the area they are going to work in but of all the surrounding areas, and start introducing them to people in those areas. and let them know where to call or go to if there are problems. If there is someone in the area that they are going to work in that can mentor them that is a great help. If your orientation involves a day or more have people from different areas within the company take a few minutes to talk to them about their area. The key is to make the new employee feel like part of the team, and to be welcomed. Relax you will do fine

Starting a new job can be very stressful ans scary for some people. As an orientation leader, it is important for you to welcome new recruits and make them feel comfortable and welcome. This is also the time to educate them on company policies and day to day expectation. If the budget permits, it is also very helpful to equip your new members with items they may need to perform their job well. Company branded items can help increase loyalty and morale among workers. Try a branded pad folio or a briefcase. Shopletpromos.com has tons of orientation ideas that can make your campaign special.

Executing a good orientation can set the tone for the future performance of new employees so make sure you are well prepared. good luck!

They are new and will be so nervous that they will not even notice how nervous you are. Start by introducing yoursel and explain the postion, hours and what is expected and take it from there!
