LOLOLOL yup....and then a daughter calls and asks why when they made something I had made they wonder why it didn't taste the same! (oops!)
Depending on my mood (or, in past, when pms-ing or preg) I try out all SORTS of stuff! :)
as for cooking...yup...add garlic to nearly everything!!!! ( by the way...have any of you tried sprinkling garlic powder over the butter when making grilled cheese sandwiches? Daughter made that one day and it was AWESOME!!!

Changing recipes is lots of fun but changing BAKING recipes can be a disaster. Changing from shortening to oil will change the texture of the recipe and sometimes it won't work at all. It's safe to change spices (cinnamon, ginger, raisens, chocolate chips etc). But changing the basic dough can be touchyso be careful.

Constantly. In fact sometimes when I read a new recipe I start making changes to it before I even try it, ha ha! As long as it doesn't mess up the recipe, sure why not?

Yeah. Whatever suits your taste buds. For example, there is this scrumptious oatmeal raisin pecan cookie recipe I got off food network.com. Only I hate pecans in my cookies. So, when I bake them for my kids and I, I leave out the pecans and um ..um.. um.. deeeelicious!

yeah, I make all recipes following the direction perfect the 1st time I make something. Then I make my own tweaks to my taste the next time I make it.
I always add extra garlic to recipes that call for it.. and some that dont! lol

Yes, all the time! I usually leave out nutmeg (if what I'm making requires it) because it smells disgusting, and I always add more cinnamon, chocolate, vanilla extract, etc. than I'm supposed to.

I sometimes do. I am not a walnut fan but I love pecans so I have been known to change a recipe sometimes that way.
