My bettas don't care for freeze dried anything. Frozen is better (in moderation), but most of their diet is quality betta pellets. They get a few pellets daily with bloodworm, brine shrimp, and daphnia as treats. Also one meal of a bit of mased pea each week, and one day of fasting. Bloodworms, brine shrimp, or any food by itself doesn't provide a balanced diet.

Another problem might be the water temperature. If it's below 75 or above 85 they become less active, and this includes feeding.

If he's in a small volume of water, he may need to have a water change. They should have a gallon of water at the very minimum, 2.5 or 5 gallons is even better, and get a 25% water change each week. Mine each have their own mini bow with a heater and filter. If yours is in something smaller without filtration, you may need to change more water, and do this 2-3 times a week.

You could try freeze dried blood worms or betta pellets, but the betta my be not eating because his enviormental condtions are not met. Also a ten gallon tank is sometimes can be to much water for a betta you could try to empty a gallon without hurting the fish because they live in realatively shallow water.

They are finicky. Try a food made especially for bettas. DON"T overfeed they tend to get constipated easily.

Is it alone? It should be. And are there any things that could disturbe it there? Like a mirror?
