Marie Jane, you're just parroting something you heard. I'm no anthropologist or scientist, but just a little thought into the matter would make it obvious, as in duh, that just because a species mutated from another species is no reason the progenitor species can't still exist. Your rationale is irrational.

If humans evolved from "something," what sparked the creation of the "thing?" If humans are evolved from this "thing," where is the evidence of the thing's growth in a midway point? In other words, there is evidence of a child's growth and creation at conception. Fetuses can be shown at various stages of growth. So where is the beast man-fish man-reptile fish man that humans evolved from? I still haven't seen that one yet. There always has to be a spark of life that starts the fire. But who lit the match?

i remember my science teacher trying to teach me about evolution and me arguing that God made me...quite a discussion came about..with us agreeing to disagree and he never put any questions on exams about this as most of the class agreed with me...
