Yes, but I have not wrote a note! I have offered cold bottled water in the hot summer days.

No, if you knew how much they really make. Plus they don't deliver in the rain if it's raining real hard. They don't deliver in the snow if its to deep. In fact where I live if a vehicle is parked with in 25 feet of your mailbox and they have to put their vehicle in reverse they won't leave your mail. They are not allowed to back up. Guess they need driving lessons. Many days they drive by my house because someone was parked to close to the box. Thank them for what?

I use to all the time I had the same mail man for 21 years. I would thank him all the time. In the heat I would give him water and talk to him all the time. I only thank the guy I have now when I see him.

If I had his paycheck....I would deliver the mail thru a foot of horseshit. Our mailman has the personality of a rock, and the brain of one too....we never get the right mail, and I wonder where some of ours has ended up. Hats off to the mailmen who do their job well.

yes, a few years ago my family did the same thing, and left a small plate of homemade cookies and brownies for him... the next day, there was hand-written note in the mailbox from the mailman, basically saying thank you for saying thank you and that his wife enjoyed the treats =)

Yes, I do. I know My postmasters personally "friends". so i thank them alot for all that they do. If i have a pkg, that won't fit in my mailbox, they will bring it to my house for me and leave it on my porch or right in the front door if the weather is bad. I live in the country, so i don't lock my doors. I always have goodies for them, in the mailbox. Good Question!!!

I always do! I have had the same mailman for over 20 years. He is the best person you can imagine. he is always willing to help you with any problems. When I was quite ill, since I live alone., he would come check on me and even do my grocery shopping.

My Mailman knows he and I have been friends for 7 years now. But it is a good idea to tell Gary that again! It never hurts.

Nice idea. We thank him when he brings a package to the door & we leave a card with $20 in it in the mailbox at Christmas, but that's about it.

I worked at a newspaper the place the CEO knew the names of each worker and can talk with anybody on issues he would have in user-friendly terms common via dealing with resumes and different cloth on record. regrettably, he replaced into eased out via the proprietors and the placement went downhill whilst a sort of schmucks took the positioned up.
