i wanna it to b kinda like facebook

I don't mean to be discouraging, but its going to be really hard making something like facebook. Not only do you have to understand HTML, but possibly also Javascript, PHP, maybe even Java(its not the same as Javascript). Also would need to understand the technology used to create website(you could handcode, but itd be much easier to learn Dreamweaver or a similar program) and how hosting works, figure out bandwith, make a budget for hosting costs incase you can't host your own website....I could go on, and on, this is why sites like facebook and myspace have entire teams of people working all at the same time.
Just follow what the previous poster said, it should be a good start toward learning website development.

well y dont u use facebook ? neways use a site like tripod, or yahoo geocities, or ne other website creation site. U can also make ur own site, but its kinda advanced.
