Shaving is a personal choice. It is not necessary for anyone to shave (there's no medical evidence saying it's proper or more sanitary). However, many people remove hair from their bodies for comfort, aesthetics, fun, or sexual, cultural, or religious reasons.
I Shave because I like too not because I have to. If you want some tips on shaving the site below is helpful.

hi, some information for you: ( you dont need to be embarrassed)
Making the Shaving Decision
When it’s time to shave your legs or under your arms, it’s important to know what products to use and which methods work the best. Instead of using the trial and error process, we have listed a few hints to make your shaving experience a little easier.
Soap vs. Shaving Cream
Shaving cream creates a protective barrier on you skin to shield it against the razor blade. It helps cut down on the risks of cuts, scrapes, infection and razor burn. The simple soap and water process doesn’t provide the protective barrier, therefore possibly irritating your skin. Also, soap can dry out your skin.
Electric vs. Razor
This is your choice. Both forms have their own pros and cons. For instance, an electric shaver does not have the same risks of cuts and nicks that a regular razor does. However, an electric shaver does not get as close of a shave as a regular razor.
On another note, an electric shaver does not require the use of shaving cream. However, you may not be able to shave with an electric shaver after taking a shower. Some electric shavers work better on dry skin, otherwise the shaver may pull at your skin while it’s trying to grab the wet hair. To avoid electrical shock, never use electric appliances on wet skin or with wet hands, unless the appliance has safety features specifically designed for this.
Waxing vs. Shaving
Waxing is a process that removes the hair for a longer period of time. By waxing, you are not just cutting the hair short, as when you shave, but you are removing the hair from below the skin’s surface. Therefore the re-growth time is longer. It may sound appealing that waxing removes the hair for a longer period of time, but the waxing process can be somewhat painful. The longer you wax, though, the more you get use to it. Waxing may also be more expensive.
Remember, if you have questions that are not answered here, speak to your parents, another adult or your physician.

Definitely a personal choice. In my line of work (labor and delivery nurse) I see all KINDS of "personal choices". I would say about 50% of the women I take care of choose to shave. Maybe it's because they are pregnant, or maybe they do it all the time, I don't know. If you are going to choose to go hairless, shaving is one option, but be careful...razor burn hurts, and there will be some irritation and itching when the hair grows back, unless you shave very often. You might try a dipilatory, like NEET. Just be careful not to get it inside the labia (ouch).

It's a personal choice. You don't absolutly have to. Don't be embarassed, it's a common thing. If you decide that you do want to, be very careful. One peice of advice is don't shave out of the hairline! Also, you will have to deal with the itchyness, when it grows back. Talk it over with a parent, if you feel comfortable enough to do so. I know it's all weird, but after awhile you won't even think about it.

You don't "have to". Some do, some don't, all for one reason or another. Some because they like it, some do it because some guys like it better that way. Personally, I find it too high maintenance to be an everyday thing. Normally I just keep it trimmed and if I'm comfortable enough with a guy and feel like shaving it (if that's what he'd like), I'll do it sometimes. But usually it's just trimmed.

You dont have to shave down there. If you take gym class or something and have excessive hair that pokes out, you may want to trim it. If you are the only one that sees yourself down there, it is really up to you. If you get a man and they would like you to do it a certain way, you may do that, its personal preference. I have noticed that guys mainly like no hair.

No girls don't have to shave down below but most choose to because they don't want to mess with the long hairs there.
