I want a divorce, and I have not had intimacy with my husband for 3 1/2 months. And he says that he is living a miserable life with me. I think we are more then ready, we really can't stand one another besides he is very violent when he gets mad. We are more on the friends side. But we are desperate for a divorce.

Please any suggestions to make this divorce possible. Any recommendations anyone might have to help me get the divorce, or any thing that can help me get it like leaving the house anything that will make it possible and faster so we won't wait for the year to past by in lesser time, before a year.

Do I just have to agree that I have not had sex with my husband for a year, or how that this work, how would they know if I'm not lying about the not sex for a year, to grant the divorce?

If both of you want the divorce check the prevailing law - there may be a way for a "no fault" divorce to speed things up. I'm not sure where you are from but a year waiting period between the actual filing and the final decree sounds long.
As to your question of intimacy, why would any court, attorney or anyone in particular care unless it was part of the prevailing action, in which case someone is contesting the divorce.

You can leave, stay with a friend, file the papers at the courthouse instead of with a lawyer, and file under either adultry or physical abuse, and if your husband will admit to it, then the divorce is over in 3 months.

if your husband wants the divorce too, you file with the court (not lawyer) and uncontested divorce...just so long as you both agree on who's keeping what. but you dont have to prove anything if you are both in agreeance. If you cant afford a divorce now, at least seperate as if you were divorcing.

Have sex with your husband or not has nothing to do with whether you get a divorce of not. Just get a lawyer and get on with it, you have enough other reasons.
