Depends on what you're looking for.

Forrestry and Horticuluture none better than Pierce College

Cinema, none better than LA Valley

Theater, LACC or LA VALLEY My old professor Pete Parkin (MFA Pasadena Playhouse) is the head of the Theater Department there.

Journalism, also LA VALLEY

LA VALLEY and CC are both very good colleges

My cousin taught math at CC and his wife taught Bussiness skills.

There is also Santa Monica.

Nursing LA VALLEY

Valley is a very good school.

They also have on-line programs

My friend took journalism there and then transfered to CSU Northididge where they covers the SAME MATERAIL with the SAME BOOK for his BA

I took Cinema at Valley and they have BETTER facilities than CSU Northridge!

My old professor, Milt Timmons (now retired) was a GENIUS (USC and UCLA trained, he got all sorts of grants and built a great film department with 35mm, 16mm and Super 8).

I'm not sure which is the best in all of California, but of the ones you mention, Santa Monica Community College is definitely the strongest.
