Would it make a good alternative fuel and would it work well on cars

2-Propanol is isopropyl alcohol. As such, in 70% solution in water, it makes great rubbing alcohol.

It would not make a good fuel for cars, because it cannot be made from corn. Unless you can please farmers by fermenting their product to 1-propanol or 2-propanol, forget about it. The way to make 2-propanol is to react propylene from gas cracking plants with water. This is politically unacceptable.
