There aren't enough sweet and nice guys in the world, so don't change, but if you are a pushover, than stand strong, being sweet and nice doesn't mean you have to do everything, everyone else wants.

It will get you somewhere. There is someone out there who will love you for who you are. You should have a great balance. Try and be as assertive as well as as nice. If people take advantage of you let them know you don't like it at all. I was in the same situation and at one point that was it. Now i defend myself and i can still be very nice to people. Create a balance. If people were mean to you because you were nice to them, it shows that they don't like that at all. Stay sweet and nice and add that little bit of ***** to yourself. You will do great. =)

I assume you're talking about your luck with women, right? I have a good friend that's a really nice & sweet guy and he has the same problems.

Being the sweet nice guy will get you everywhere. you just haven't been lucky enough to find what you are wanting or looking for.
being a rude , jerk will not get you far.
you decide. it is your decision and life...
being respected as a good guy is far better then be known as a jerk.

Difficult to change your character, possible to change your behavior .... get a paper and pencil -yes do it- and write the pros & cons of being as is! Then decide what needs to be changed in your behavior!
Last but not least, you have a great character!

I don't really know you, so I can't give a definite answer, except say that I really admire nice people, and if they were to become hardcore or something like that, it would really break my heart.
