I just finished Spanish 1 and 2 in my freshman year and sophomore year. I have done OKAY~~ not the best, but I am understanding everything, like the reflexive verbs and so forth. But the problem is, I'm afraid I might fail Spanish 3. I got no higher than a B in my foriegn language classes. I am very scared once i get into spanish 3. What do i have to do in order to succeed in that class? Please.. someone please hep me.

How about reviewing the textbook you used for Spanish 1 and 2 before starting Spanish 3 to remind yourself of everything you should have known before, so that you are caught up going into the course (this is why I'm always angry at our bookstore manager who encourages students to sell back their textbooks!)?

Spanish 3 builds upon the previous years. Actually, it's easier than Sp. 1 & 2 because you already know all the essential grammar. There will be a grammar review in the first few weeks and then you'll start using the language as it's supposed to be used. If you got a B in the first 2 years, you'll certainly get a B or better in Spanish 3. If you're scared, review what you've learned over the summer. There are several review books you can use. Ask your librarian or go to a bookstore and ask them. The review books give explanations, quizzes and answers as well as exercises. Also, listen to some of the TV programs in Spanish. After a while, you'll find that you're understanding more and more. If you do these things, you won't forget what you've learned over the summer and you'll actually reinforce what you already know, not to mention the new aspects of the language you'll pick up. I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised once school starts in the fall.
