I like car performance and all it's just those things just annoy me. A good rumbble is one thing but to listen to not a whine. Its like a mopad on crack. They make tons of noise but go nowhere. I usually pass them just for some peace and quiet. The whole thing of taking a 100hp car and putting in tons of money to get them to reach 200hp if lucky I find strange. Just by a car with 200 hp to begin with. I think the only people who must really like them is cops at least they can hear coming a mile away. Why draw attention to yourself if gradma' caddy can blow by ya.

It's hard to tell exactly what you are talking about, however, if I am correct I believe you are talking about the kids that are just throwing on the fart cannon exhaust. They do not have a full exhaust, and very rarely do they have any other type of mods done to their car (except maybe looks) then they throw the fart cannon on to make it sound like they have done something under the hood.
I drive a Pontiac with a custom flowmaster exhaust, however, I also have mods done to my car to back it up, and I race her. And no, grandma's caddy aint blowing by me (my mom owns a caddy and with my dad driving it ive taken it many times).

Why do V6 Mustang, Camaros, Firebird and T/A owners put str8 pipes and gun it and makes all this noise and goes no where? Its because its there car.
Yes probobly 70% of the tuners are boys and girls who seen Fast and Furious to many times but the other 30% are like any car nut. How many muscle owners can say hey I ran 10.7's 1/4 today got 30mph and drove my car to the track and back in my full interior Civic. Or if you are in a Supra I drove 8.45 1/4and drove the car back home. None that I can think of.
